Activities

Traveling in country

It could take you a while to explore the beauty and history of this country with 6 climate zones and endless possibilities. If you enjoy coast and ocean, we suggest following.

Scuba diving in Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos Islands are famous for a variety of unusual creatures, from marine iguanas to blue-footed boobies and lava lizards. You'll get closer to the wildlife here than you would anywhere else in the world as the Galapagos Archipelago lies isolated 600 miles off the coast of South America. The isolation and late discovery by humans, along with a historical lack of predators has set the stage for a unique environmental experiment and developed into perhaps the greatest showcase for evolution to be witnessed anywhere.

Whale Watching

The world’s largest living creatures can be found feeding and frolicking just 20 miles off the coast. Hungry whales arrive to feast in local waters rich in sand eels, copepods, plankton, and fish. They’ll head south toward warmer seas. Until then, thousands of visitors will have the chance to spot the plentiful species of whales found in Maine’s ocean waters as they breach the surface, spout water, and nurse their young. Familiar sights include humpback whales, pilot whales, minke whales, and the massive finback whale, which can grow up to 80 feet in length. Sei whales, sperm whales, orcas and right whales are a few of the state’s occasional visitors.

Surfing

Surfing is one of the most challenging sports and one of the most rewarding of all. To be in sync with nature and flowing with the energy of a wave is something that cannot be described, only experienced. Mastering wave riding is a lifelong process, which constantly keeps the passion alive. Whether you want to get started or have been riding for a while, we want to help you take your surfing to the next level in a safe yet challenging environment!

 Dinning

Seafood is one of the staple items of Ecuador food, which is not only popular but also available in copious quantities in all places of Ecuador. The coastal regions of Ecuador have many restaurants that specialize in exotic seafood dishes. Local restaurants in Bahía serve a vast variety of typical food such as shrimp, fish, encocados and ceviche. Ceviche is a fish which is marinated in onions and lemon and resembles its Japanese counterpart, Sushi. Interestingly, Ceviche dishes are mostly served with corn. They can be prepared with fish, shellfish, squid, shrimp or a combination of all of them.

Horseback riding

Horseback riding on the Hacienda del Recrio could be a pick-a-boo opportunity to explore the historical Ecuadorian lifestyle and explore the variety of environmentally protected species and tropical flora.
